We are furnishing the poorest primary school classrooms in rural Africa using a school bag with a bamboo-classroom-chair and writing-board (including a menstrual toolkit inside for adolescent girls) called a SeatPack: 3-times cheaper than wooden class desks.

We do this to exponentially increase access to better future opportunities through a good education for the poorest children on the continent today.

Children

Sitting comfortably and writing properly in class with SeatPacks is directly improving their literacy and learning at school.

We are inspired by 3 core challenges:

1. Over 95 million African school children today study in rooms without a place to sit comfortably and write properly due to the high cost of wooden furniture (averagely $100 per unit) directly affecting their reading and writing skills.

2. Replacing wooden furniture with bamboo furniture as SeatPacks greatly combats Climate Change at scale.

3. Availing adolescent girls with menstrual toolkits in each SeatPack drastically increases daily school attendance all year by 20%.

SeatPacks address each of the above challenges.

Our Goal is to give 1-million African school children by 2030 the daily experience of sitting comfortably and writing properly during classes so they can use an education to make their future dreams come true
